Planning and Scheduling subject matter expert for the enterprise. Oversee and manages the scheduling department and practice. Liaison for scheduling in all operational departments, facilitating the effective deployment and utilization of project schedules and schedule processes. Envision and deploy initiatives to better analyze and capture data pertaining to the development, progress, and change of the project schedule. Lead the creation and deployment of all schedule training efforts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expert in the planning and scheduling practice.
  • Provide expertise oversight to scheduling and planning efforts including scheduling processes during the project development and execution. Manage schedule programs as required.
  • Provide guidance on the application of contractual and project requirements and how to best communicate them to the project schedules and processes.
  • Ensures enterprise schedule data integrity best practices and company standards.
  • Ensures the production and distribution of tailored schedule reporting effectively and efficiently meets the needs of project, group, and enterprise.
  • Develop and implement best communication practices regarding the schedule to project teams, subcontract partners, clients, and internal leadership.
  • Define the application of the scheduling cycle to Haskell Policy, including but not limited to actualizing and updating, reports, narratives, time impact analysis, and fragnet schedules.
  • Provide guidance expertise in change impact management and is able to support and guide project teams as changes arise.
  • Directs the utilization practice of resource loading.
  • Lead the enterprise in utilization of schedule data.
  • Ensures enterprise risk management best practices with schedule data and be able to proactively report findings to the project teams.
  • Oversee the creation and deployment of training initiatives in scheduling best practices, processes, and tools.
  • Mentor the enterprise in the scheduling practice and foster growth of its application.
  • Oversees for group schedule integrity, quality, and best practices as necessary.
  • Leads the growth and development of the scheduling department.
  • Travel, as necessary, to lead and support scheduling efforts
  • Engage and participate in industry events and conferences.
  • Champion continual improvement of scheduling practices and processes.
  • Other duties which may be assigned as needed.
  • Supervises others.

Education/Experience:

  • Four-year degree in engineering or construction management, 12 years of scheduling or construction management experience, with a minimum of 15 years directly related to scheduling.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

  • Experience in a commercial contracting environment preferred.
  • Expertise in Primavera scheduling software including cost/resource loading and analysis.
  • Excellent analytic ability with excellent written and verbal communications skills required.
  • Ability to organize and manage complex tasks, establish and meet schedules and maintain focus on goals.
  • Expertise in industry planning and scheduling practices and construction method.

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
