Custodian Evening 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm Purpose of the Job This position is responsible for maintaining all carpeting and hard floor surfaces and processing all waste streams. Job Functions Vacuums, shampoos and extracts carpets. Performs major cleaning and refinishing of floors in assigned areas. Collects all general, recyclable, infectious and hazardous waste and disposes of according to RMC standards. Performs other duties as assigned. Employment Requirements Minimum Education/Work Experience High school graduate or equivalent 2 years of floor care and custodial experience Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner Ability to work autonomously and as a team Knowledge of floor care equipment Ability to perform strenuous work under time constraints License/Certifications None specified Preferred Qualifications Previous custodial experience in a hospital setting Link to Employee Health Physical Demands
