ARES is looking for an enthusiastic individual for the role of Research Increment Engineer on the Human Space Flight Technical Integration Contract.

Responsibilities:

The Research Increment Engineer will:

  • Support HSFTIC and the NASA Increment Management Team as an integration engineer in the coordination and prioritization of International Space Station (ISS) payload requirements submitted by various ISS Program (ISSP) participants in support of increment payload operations
  • Develop, prioritize, and coordinate ISSP documentation to drive tasks to meet ISS program milestones
  • Provide high level strategic and detailed tactical assessments based on the latest flight plan and increment requirements
  • Represent the Increment Management Team at ISS Boards and Technical Reviews
  • Travel is required on a periodic basis to support program reviews and technical interchange meetings
  • Periodic overtime and shiftwork is required
  • Support HSFTIC Mission Planning and Analysis integrations teams and the NASA Increment Management Team
  • Provide support to real-time operations in the Mission Control Center
  • Perform other duties, as required

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS degree in Engineering or STEM discipline from an accredited college/university
  • Excellent communication skills (in both written and verbal), integration, coordination and presentation skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work to meet critical schedule requirements in a dynamic environment
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated and take initiative in completing tasks with minimal management direction
  • Independent learner, self-study and training skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering or STEM discipline
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills in a fast paced environment
  • 5 years of Payload Integration or Operations experience

Education:

  • BS degree in Engineering or STEM discipline from an accredited college/university
