DESCRIPTION
UC San Diego Health is seeking an applicant for a Senior Integration Developer who will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and maintaining ETL and integrations code into and out of various database and systems including ERP systems (Oracle Financials Cloud, PeopleSoft, Salesforce), EMR( Epic), SQL Server, and more. The incumbent will need to be well versed in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL but familiarity with other technologies such as MuleSoft, Okta IAM, and data exchange platforms is desired. The applicant will support the ongoing efforts to implement a robust ETL/EAI/SOA to meet the strategic goals of the organization. This position will be part of the overall systems and integration teams at UC San Diego Health and will be part of the team responsible for the overall framework and architecture for Enterprise Integration. Senior Integrations Engineer: The Senior Integrations Developer will function as part of a team supporting the integration needs for our clinical enterprise, including our Medical Center, Physician Group, and Population Health Services Organization. Extensive SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and database solution development/maintenance experience are required. Specific duties include: supporting the development of a sustainable program around ETL and integration projects. Defining the framework and architecture most appropriate when implementing with various solutions. Project Management: Senior Integrations Developer will function as the technical project manager responsible for their own project plans in conjunction with the operational project managers to ensure accurate, consistent, and timely data delivery. Specific duties include but are not limited to developing and maintaining project plans, coordinating and collaborating with team members, creating status reports, facilitating decisions, identifying and mitigating risks, collecting and interpreting data from various sources, presenting measure and project results to clinical and operations executives, and managing evolving technical requirements. Product Management: The Senior Integrations Developer will function as the technical product manager responsible for developing and maintaining integrations into and out of the various systems including but not limited to: ERP systems, UCSD Health and campus data warehouse environments, and other data environments as required, using techniques and tools including MuleSoft, SSIS, MoveIT, and more. Roadmaps should be developed in conjunction with senior leadership, operational stakeholders, and vendor advisors to ensure these products can meet business and clinical requirements including scaling across multiple dimensions. Specific duties include but are not limited to facilitating operational and requirements planning sessions, conducting product related research, developing product requirements and specifications, producing development approaches and timelines, coordinating the integration of products into the larger enterprise product portfolio, assessing third party products/vendor solutions, communication plans, training plans, writing recommendations to senior leadership, and creating maintenance/upgrade plans. Level 4: Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the overall field and recognized expertise in specific areas; problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues/problems without precedent and/or structure. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy. Key Responsibilities:
- Create and support ETL processes across functional domains(HR, Finance, IT, Operations). Implement associated monitoring, user communications, and redundancies to ensure maximum uptime and customer satisfaction.
- Designs and runs complex SQL queries (on MSSQL and other RDBMS) for enhanced data access.
- Using Mule Management APIs, build onboarding and access management automations to the API Hosting platform
- Setup SFTP jobs to various internal and external customers using MoveIT, working with internal security team to deploy appropriately secure transfers.
- Understand and follow company policies surrounding data governance, security, and API development
- Design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions based on business requirements and strategic direction.
- Assess opportunities for application and process improvements and prepare documentation outlining platform road maps.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize, and upgrade existing systems such as Password State and Org Chart Now.
- Collaborates with clinical, financial, business, and technical leaders to plan, develop, implement, and analyze and design an integrated architectural approach to ensure an optimal and efficient user experience and functionality, integrity, and reliability of integrations .
- Design, configure, and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) connections and provisioning workflows within the Okta Identity Cloud; proactively address and resolve service incidents related to authentication and access management; and perform system administration of the Okta platform, in alignment with enterprise security and governance standards.
- Experience with system administration tasks, including installation, configuration, patching, and the overall lifecycle management of integration applications, servers, SAAS applications, and AWS offerings.
- Able to author scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and UIPath RPA for task automation and system administration.
- Utilize Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) and ServiceNow for workflows and IT Service Management responsibilities.
- Performs quality assurance testing, establishes robust systems integrations monitoring, and implements regression testing tools.
- Executes Dev Ops methodologies using GitHub, Azure repositories, CICD pipeline, and associated development lifecycle management tools.
- As a technical leader and information resource, may provide support, troubleshooting, and problem solving at an advanced level, and may produce and deliver user training curricula.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure continuity and support of the ETL jobs, databases, File transfers, and API operations of the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus five (5) years of related experience/training. Related professional experience: developing, implementing, and maintaining Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) including: Error handling and logging frameworks in SSIS, package deployment, configuration management, performance optimization and/or scalability. Enterprise Solution development, healthcare analytics, and/or healthcare development. Advanced skills associated with programming design, modification and implementation. Advanced knowledge of secure software development. Demonstrated ability to create software specifications. Demonstrated advanced knowledge, skills and abilities associated with system problem identification and resolution. Knowledge necessary to design, set up, operate and correct malfunctions involving technology systems. Experience in incident response and digital forensics, including data collection, examination and analysis. Advanced knowledge of business and process analysis functions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in MS SQL and relational database management systems (RDBMS), including deep SQL expertise, stored procedures, and performance tuning. Strong knowledge of EAI/SOA best practices, development methodologies & standards Working knowledge of Finance, HR, and Health Care terminology and operations. Experience with all phases of software development life cycle from Business Requirement Analysis to Production implementation. Experienced integrating EMR and ERP systems, specifically Epic, Oracle Financials Cloud, Salesforce Health Cloud, and PeopleSoft. Three (3+) or more years of experience with MuleSoft, Boomi or similar API platform, certification. Prior mentoring experience, supporting peers and junior staff members through requirements, design and development activities. Advanced level of project management, Dev Ops, and/or program management experience. Familiarity with Agile development, Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC), Product Development Life Cycles (PDLC), and waterfall implementation methodologies. Familiarity with or professional experience working in a major cloud platform, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS). Experience configuring, managing, and utilizing Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) for automated and secure data file transfers. Moveit experience preferred. SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $108,100 - $204,900 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $51.77 - $98.13 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
