What It's Like The Messaging team plays a critical role at T-Mobile by delivering reliable and scalable messaging services that support both consumer and enterprise communication. These services enable text, picture, and application-to-person (A2P) messaging, which are essential for campaigns, one-time passwords (OTP), notifications, and businesscritical communications. By ensuring secure, highquality messaging, the team helps drive customer engagement, trust, and revenue growth. An intern on the Messaging team supports this mission by assisting with service monitoring, data analysis, documentation, and testing of messaging platforms, while gaining handson exposure to largescale telecom systems and crossfunctional collaboration. What You'll Do The individual will be responsible for building automation for messaging services and developing Power BI reports to streamline processes, support operational efficiency, and reduce time to market. This includes designing automated workflows that enhance service reliability, eliminate manual effort, and improve visibility into key performance metrics. Additionally, the role will involve collaborating with crossfunctional teams to understand reporting needs, optimize dashboards, and ensure data accuracy. Through these efforts, the intern will contribute to enabling faster decisionmaking and supporting the continued growth of TMobile's messaging ecosystem. Key Responsibilities
What It Takes Engineering background: The ideal candidate will bring foundational knowledge in engineering principles, with an interest in applying those skills to largescale messaging platforms and telecom systems. They should be comfortable approaching technical challenges with analytical thinking, problemsolving methodologies, and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies. This background will support their ability to design and implement automation, contribute to datadriven reporting solutions, and engage effectively with engineers, architects, and crossfunctional partners. An engineering mindset will also help the individual understand system dependencies, performance behaviors, and architectural tradeoffs as they support the growth and optimization of TMobile's messaging ecosystem. Minimum Qualifications
Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education. Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location. Intern wages range from $26/hour to $47/hour.
