POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
The Director IT, Product and PMO is a senior IT leadership role reporting to the CIO. The role oversees IT program management and governance while delivering technology projects to meet business objectives leveraging vendor teams and indirect leadership. The role is responsible for the execution of a technology roadmap that is aligned with business needs, reflects best practices, and increases option value for the organization. The role ensures that the respective business, application, data, and technology perspectives are in line with the organization's technology and governance strategies, policies, and standards. The role will influence management effectiveness and resource prioritization within the IT department. The role is to ensure a predictable and repeatable foundation of standardized processes and tools. The individual will drive all initiatives aimed at IT organizational compliance with established control frameworks.
This role requires the ability to provide indirect leadership throughout the organization and will manage best practices in the following focus areas 1) IT Governance 2) Portfolio/ Project Management. The role ensures enterprise architecture models and associated design components are maintained in a coherent manner and that appropriate considerations are made for extensibility, scalability, security, and quality. The role will be a champion of the IT Collaboration Framework for the organization and ensure its application and consistent adoption for all projects.

MAJOR / KEY JOB DUTIES
* IT Governance
o Governs resources across the IT department in day-to-day operation of 16 COSO controls o Leads ESA's Technology Change Management Board (CAB) o Updates and maintains all policies and procedures relating to Technology Governance o Maintains the IT Scorecard, and facilitates the review of IT metrics; Identifies areas for improvement and leads the organization on maturing ITIL practices o Oversees the governance of ESA's SharePoint Portal; collaborates with other organizational leaders on information management strategies o Oversees tracking and reporting of SLA performance (both technical and around Service Management) for the Technology department o Leads Vendor Management activities across the department; develops and institutes policies and procedures for the selection, onboarding, security assessment, and monitoring of third-party vendors. o Oversees other SMEs and acts as application owner for the ESA's IT's Service Management tool * Portfolio/Project Management o Champions the formalization of and adherence to ESA's IT Project Management Framework; leads periodic IT portfolio and project meetings with senior management; facilitates phase reviews and gate approvals for IT projects vital to company strategies o Defines approach for use of the ESA Portfolio Management System, including reporting on project performance, resource management, and time tracking and reporting o Leads, manages, and mentors several project managers in the execution of ESA's IT portfolio strategy o Performs other duties as assigned OTHER DUTIES

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES
* Proven track record leading IT Customer Service function including basic foundational knowledge of core IT systems
* Good experience leading efforts to enable Test Automation for SaaS based applications * Experience with process design and documentation using visual modelling tools * Knowledge of DevOps processes * Experience working with cloud-based applications * Innovative thinker. Ability to challenge * Provide strong fiscal oversight and imbue the ROI mentality * Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and relationships * Significant experience leading a Project Management Office; building project management frameworks * Must have strong and effective communication and leadership skills * Detail-oriented * Organized - able to handle multiple deliverables and stakeholders * Excellent organizational skills and strong business judgment * Able to lead large-sized projects with minimal oversight * Strong familiarity with Service Management Systems (e.g. Remedy, Service Now, Manage Engine, Service Desk, etc.) * Experience leading technology Change Management Board (CAB) ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
* Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable
* Less than 25% travel MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in leading enterprise or IT PMO
* Experience in full lifecycle of development projects including business process design, requirements analysis, feasibility studies, software design, programming, testing, deployment, installation, and operational management * Strong experience with enterprise application integration and frameworks * Thoughtful practitioner of software engineering methodologies, frameworks and tools including structured software engineering methodologies such as Agile, Scrum and RUP * Significant experience with managing environments with significant outsourced vendor supported functions * Significant experience managing portfolio budgets, resources, and timelines * Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills * Experience of modeling and documentation approaches including the use of modeling standards like UML and visual modeling tools * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
* Software engineering and architecture experience * Experience working in the Hospitability industry * Strong understanding of IT security and compliance requirements. * Experience with cloud-based technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) * Experience with big data and analytics technologies * CISA or GIAC SANS * Strong familiarity with control frameworks, COBIT, ITIL, e.g. * PMP | |
