Overview

Position: Business Intelligence and Digitalization Manager, Wieland Rolled Products North America, LLC, Reporting to East Alton, IL, May telecommute from anywhere.

Duties: The Business Intelligence (BI) & Digitization Manager will drive the BI and digital transformation strategy for Wieland Rolled Products North America. This role focuses on operationalizing BI and decision models, leading the development and deployment of digital solutions to optimize cross-departmental efficiencies across various functions including Manufacturing Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Sales, Purchasing, Finance, and Human Resources. This includes building Power BI dashboards for all functional departments to provide actionable insights, leveraging expertise in metal manufacturing, SAP S/4HANA modules, Oracle E-Business Suite, SQL, Python, and statistical-decision modeling. The role involves overseeing critical BI and digitization projects, requiring extensive cross-functional leadership, collaboration, and travel to manufacturing sites. Key Responsibilities: Business Intelligence & Digitization: Lead the development and implementation of advanced data tools, real-time dashboards, decision models, and KPIs to optimize processes and support strategic business objectives. Data Tool Development: Design, develop, and maintain data tools, dashboards, and analytical models using Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). Design production planning decision models and sales & operations forecasting models using Python programming. Performance Monitoring: Establish, monitor, and evaluate business metrics, KPIs, and trends. Deliver insights and management-level presentations proposing strategic improvements. Data Integration: Collaborate with IT to integrate data from various sources into a central business data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility, providing a reliable foundation for organization-wide analytics. Data Management: Manage extraction, cleaning, and manipulation of large datasets from SAP, Oracle, and other systems using advanced SQL, ETL, and cloud-based tools like Databricks and Microsoft Fabric. Reporting & Analysis: Develop and deliver regular reports for Manufacturing teams using SAP S/4HANA module data (MM, PP, SD, QM & PM), providing insights and supporting data driven decision-making through statistical analysis. Decision Modeling: Develop and integrate decision models into production systems to automate routine operational tasks. Chatbots: Develop chatbots for operations and maintenance teams to provide SOP-based instructions for machine maintenance tasks. Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiencies across supply chain, manufacturing operations, and commercial teams, addressing data visibility gaps and improving KPIs like OTD, machinery up-time, and cost per unit produced. Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with department heads (Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain & IT) to understand data and analytical requirements. Align data tools with strategic goals, acting as a critical liaison between business and IT teams. Training & Support: Provide comprehensive training and support to end-users for effective adoption and utilization of data tools. Ad Hoc Analysis: Respond to ad hoc data requests, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership using tools such as Minitab, Excel, and Power BI.

Requirements: Master's degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Require Six Sigma Black or Green Belt certification. 5 years of combined experience in operations, data analytics, business intelligence and digital transformation, with a focus on building data tools and solutions. 5 years of combined experience in operations with a strong understanding of manufacturing, business operations, and supply chain processes. 5 years of experience in SQL development for complex data transformation. 5 years of combined experience in Data Warehouse & ETL tools such as Databricks, AWS Redshift, Oracle BI and Microsoft Fabric. 5 years of combined experience in Power BI, Tableau, Quicksight creating complex dashboards, visualizations, and real-time data reports. 1 year of experience in the metals industry. 1 year of experience in developing production planning and supply chain tools. 1 year of experience in Python with a strong background in statistical analysis, predictive and decision modeling. 1 year of experience in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). 1 year of experience with SAP S/4 HANA and writing SQL queries to extract data from each of the following modules: MM, PP, SD, QM & PM. 1 year experience in writing SQL queries to extract data from Oracle E-Business Suite & Database. 1 year of experience managing direct reports for the development and deployment of critical data tools and solutions. May telecommute from anywhere. Up to 80% travel across Wieland facilities, requiring a candidate who can deliver on all responsibilities and maintain project timelines while traveling.

Salary: $128,000-$140,000
