As a Security Officer - Unarmed Mobile Patrol in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a renowned education location, where you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine foot patrols to help spot and report security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence, assist students, staff, and visitors with excellent customer service, and communicate clearly with your team. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, galleries, common areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or vandalism.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance with de-escalation, crowd management, and/or evacuation support as directed.
• Complete security-related reports and activity logs, communicate observations via radio and/or phone, and coordinate with site management and/or local responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be 21 or older.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
