Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driving Role in Marion, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government corrections location, you will perform visible patrols, monitor assigned areas, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. You will support incident reporting and access control while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by a caring culture and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to all persons on site by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, post orders, and site-specific policies within a government corrections location.
  • Conduct armed, routine and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; document observations and report maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, manage visitor processing, and maintain accurate logs to support facility operations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical situations, and/or contraband concerns; request assistance and coordinate with on-site staff and responding authorities as needed.
  • Complete detailed written reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs; preserve evidence when directed and support investigations by providing clear statements and observations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
