Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Patrol Rounds in Union City, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor verification, document activity using a computer and/or tablet, and communicate clearly with team members and site personnel. Bring a customer service mindset while representing Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and reliability.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting observations, and supporting site leadership direction.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the warehouse, yard, dock doors, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances and exit points, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, and directing traffic flow for trucks and deliveries as needed.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate with site contacts and/or dispatch, and operate site systems such as radios, cameras, and badge or visitor management tools as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
