As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe inbound and outbound activity, document noteworthy events, and provide clear communication and customer service to team members and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, yard areas, parking areas, and building perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance issues.
  • Monitor access points for employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors; verify identification, manage sign-in procedures, and coordinate delivery and pickup traffic flow as directed by site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; provide assistance during alarms, medical situations, fires, and/or weather events and notify appropriate contacts.
  • Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and other security-related documentation; communicate observations and shift turnover information to Allied Universal supervision and/or site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
  • Have X-ray screening experience, preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
