Security Officer - Unarmed Route Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Route Patrol Driver in Glen Burnie, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will help maintain a welcoming environment by conducting routine patrols, staying highly visible, and responding to security-related concerns with calm, clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post, so you will use a company or assigned vehicle to cover larger areas, document activity, and support store teams. At Allied Universal, you will deliver through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patrons and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and customer concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, common areas, back-of-house corridors, loading areas, parking lots, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft and/or disorderly conduct, and report suspicious activity to site leadership and/or law enforcement as directed.
• Support traffic and crowd management during peak shopping periods and special events, and assist with access control for restricted areas as required by post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
