What to Expect
The Low Voltage Hardware Validation Test team is looking to bring on a Sensor Engineering Technician to support all vehicle test development, execution, documentation, and root cause analysis. A Sensor Engineering Technician will support all aspects of testing from electrical debugging, mechanical fixture design/building, software script development/modification.
What You'll Do
- Work alongside Test/Reliability/Design Engineers to validate displays, sensors, and cameras for all vehicle test programs through mechanical and electrical testing
- Support bring up of static fixtures made of T-Slotted aluminum as well as solid aluminum or magnesium
- Run/document electrical, ingress, and visual checks/data in to validate displays, sensors, and cameras operation through validation/reliability testing milestones
- Read, create, and modify python test script that interact with DAQs and power supplies
What You'll Bring
- Basic electrical knowledge and experience, should understand and be able to read wiring schematics
- Soldering skills (PCB's, rework,etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple test priorities and communicate proactively
- Performing environmental stress screening (ESS) to identify potential failure modes
- Conducting highly accelerated life testing (HALT) and highly accelerated stress screening (HASS) to determine product robustness
- Operating and maintaining environmental chambers for thermal, humidity, and vibration testing
- Analyzing test data and identifying trends to predict potential failures
- Collaborating with engineers to implement design improvements based on reliability test results
- (Preferred, not required) Experience programming in/on/with Linux, PyCharm, Command line, Arduino, DAQs, and power supplies. Experience working with temp, humidity, radar, ambient light, and presser sensors. Experience with Can Bus communication. Experience fabricating things with 3D printers, Laser cutter, chop saws, drill presses, electronic/mechanical crimpers. Experience gathering electrical, mechanical, temperature, data with strain gauges, TC, DAQs, DMM, oscilloscope, torque wrench, Micro ohm meter, and Pressure Decay leak tester. Has experience running reliability and validation testing with environmental chambers

Expected Compensation
$24.40 - $50.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
