What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Program Manager to execute our electronic component supplier and sourcing strategies for each Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA). In this role, you will function as a key liaison between the Supply Chain organization and internal stakeholders including Tesla's executive team and engineering teams. Program Managers will collaborate closely with their Supply Chain team members including Global Supply Managers and Supplier Industrialization Engineers across all commodities. This role may encompass work across all Tesla products, include vehicles, energy, AI, robotics and more. The role will report to the Supply Chain Group Manager and be an active supply chain resource for engineering teams across Tesla.
What You'll Do
- Own the board-level component strategy alignment for all PCBAs for a given product, encompassing both new product introduction (NPI) and sustaining phases
- Coordinate, align, and fully document the component sourcing strategy for every reference designator on a given PCBA before executing a build, in partnership with component SCM and engineering. This involves collaborating with multiple SCMs responsible for commodities such as mechanical components, connectors, semiconductors, passives, and PCBs, ensuring every reference designator is reviewed and accounted for
- Collect and organize reference designator-level design change recommendations from component Supply Chain Managers (e.g., for multi-sourcing, Approved Vendor List compliance, or improved supply chain resilience) on a PCBA-by-PCBA basis, which can be reported and implemented during available build opportunities
- Continuously monitor and measure project processes and activities to prevent delays, identify potential risks, and address them promptly
- Develop and lead regular forums and reports with key stakeholders and leaders to flag risks or issues requiring escalation, and to highlight key milestone achievements throughout planning and execution cycles
- Represent the Supply Chain organization in meetings with engineering and Tesla's Executive Team, providing program status updates that highlight potential risks, outline proposed solutions, and detail mitigation steps related to board-level component strategy execution
- Train suppliers to provide clean, high-quality reports on a regular basis for supply chain related information that can be uploaded into internal databases and useable for executive summaries
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management
- Preferred experience related to PCBA component supply chain and BOM management
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Organized and excellent communicator
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability
