Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol in Hurlock, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide clear communication, respond to situations with professionalism, and deliver customer service that supports daily operations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Monitor access control points by verifying credentials, managing deliveries and contractor entry, and documenting required logs and reports per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm activations, disturbances, medical calls, and/or fire-related notifications, and coordinate with management and local responders as needed.
  • Operate surveillance and communication equipment, report suspicious behavior or hazards, and complete detailed written reports of shift activities and incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 or more years of security experience.
  • Have at least 1 or more years of armed security and/or law enforcement and/or military experience.
  • Have an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 or more years of age.
  • Baton certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
