Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Bank Patrol in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a financial institution, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas while maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine rounds, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering customer service with integrity. This post requires an Armed Guard Card or License and a people-first mindset within an agile, reliable, and innovative team.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, members, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate in an armed post while maintaining compliance with post orders, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal guidelines; control access to restricted areas and manage key and/or alarm protocols as directed.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, requesting additional resources, and completing required notifications.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the financial facility interior, exterior, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; monitor for unusual conditions, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, preserve relevant information for investigations, and coordinate with onsite management and/or law enforcement as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
