Security Officer - Unarmed Roving Driver

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Roving Driver in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a cultural institution location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and assist staff and visitors with professional customer service. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and support incident response with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, exhibit areas, offices, storage spaces, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, assisting with directions, queue management, and enforcing posted rules regarding restricted areas and artifact handling.
• Complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, policy violations, and maintenance concerns, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
