Job Description




As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Full-Time in Armonk, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. You will represent a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, with a caring culture that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, missing persons reports, and access concerns, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Monitor access points, help manage visitor flow, and assist with wayfinding while observing for suspicious behavior and/or unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
  • Document observations, incidents, and shift activities in written reports, and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
