Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Dispatch Driver in Akron, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor activity, manage communications, and coordinate security-related responses for officers in the field. You will help keep operations moving by tracking patrol status, documenting incidents, supporting access control, and delivering customer service with clear, calm updates. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Dispatch and coordinate Allied Universal personnel using phone, radio, and/or computer-aided systems; track unit status and assign posts based on site needs and incident priority.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, access control notifications, and/or other systems; escalate conditions and request additional support as needed following site instructions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; gather key details, communicate updates to on-site personnel, and notify client contacts and/or public responders when directed.
  • Complete accurate documentation such as dispatch logs, incident reports, and shift summaries; maintain required records for calls for service, patrol activity, and system events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
