Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Guard in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to calls for assistance, and document observations with clear, professional reports. This role calls for strong communication and customer service while working with teammates who live our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. Level III Armed certification and an armed guard card/license are required.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with post orders and applicable laws, maintaining proper control and accountability of issued equipment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points, monitoring for unusual activity that may help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Complete detailed written reports and logs, including incident reports, patrol documentation, and daily activity updates, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Hold Level III armed certification in Texas.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
