About the Position:

Title: Tax Intern

Reports to: Manager, Corporate Tax

Location: Norwalk, CT

Work Schedule: M-F, Full time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and eager-to-learn Corporate Tax Intern who will provide support in tax reporting and compliance in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The Corporate Tax Intern will work with ASC 740 on tasks related to quarterly tax provision, tax compliance, and research. The Terex Tax and Finance teams are customer-focused groups of professionals who work collaboratively with Terex, its vendors, and customers to create standard work, stable processes, and value-added change. We use lean principles and prevention to create an environment in which defects are not created, accepted, or passed on. Great emphasis is placed on the role of each team member and the ability of every individual to drive continuous improvement.

Summer internships will begin Monday, June 8, 2026 - August 14, 2026 on a 40-hour work week schedule, with potential to extend or hire.

Responsibilities:

  • Quantitative data analysis

  • Assist with creating and providing required work support and documentation

  • Assist in review and reconciliations

  • Initiate, track, and review data requests

  • Coordinate communications with people from different countries, backgrounds, and idiosyncrasies

  • Provide assistance with special projects as they arise

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum sophomore year standing as of Fall 2025 at an accredited 4-year university/college

  • Pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree in Accounting, or a related field

  • Minimum of a cumulative GPA of 3.0 required

  • Desire to build a career in Tax

  • Track record of demonstrable accomplishments in school and at work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in using general Microsoft Office applications, including Excel

  • Previous experience with SharePoint a plus

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • A commitment to detail, accuracy, and follow-through is essential for success

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Self-motivated with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple time-sensitive tasks

  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees across functions and geographies

  • Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary: The compensation for this position is $25/hr for undergraduate interns and $27/hr for graduate or returning interns. This position is not eligible for benefits.
