What's the Opportunity?

Anchor QEA is seeking a full-time, project manager focused on the remediation of contaminated properties. We are interested in a candidate that has the capacity to grow, is a quick learner, is detail-orientated, is a committed team player, and possesses strong written and verbal communication skills. This position will manage and support projects involving the investigation and remediation of shoreline and upland industrial properties.Typical project locations will be based in the Pacific Northwest, but assignments may also include work on projects nationwide.Successful candidates will have an opportunity to work on a variety of tasks of differing complexities, both independently and in team environments, learn directly from leaders in the industry, and provide mentoring to our junior staff.

Responsibilities:



  • Project and task management, including team assignments and coordination, client interaction, and production of deliverables
  • Reviewing and preparing remedial investigation and feasibility study reports deliverable and supporting remedy design document development.
  • Qualitative and quantitative analysis of environmental data
  • Mentoring and training of junior staff



What Are We Looking For?

Ideal candidates will have the following:



  • Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental science, or other closely related degree
  • 8 to 15 years of environmental consulting experience
  • Experience as a project manager at environmental remediation sites involving contaminated media including soil, sediments, and groundwater
  • Experience conducting site investigations/characterizations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, and remedial designs/actions
  • Experience identifying and resolving key issues impacting remedy implementation (technical, regulatory, risk, stakeholder, land use, etc.) and emerging issues
  • Experience with leading a team in implementing site closure strategy and effectively managing change over time
  • Experience as a liaison or point of contact communicating between contractors, team members, regulatory agencies, property owners, other consultants, and clients
  • Related professional certification (or the ability to obtain and maintain), including but not limited to Professional Geologist (PG) license, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Ability to think on multiple levels while gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing all relevant data to make sound recommendations

Salary and Other Compensation:



  • Salary: $141,000 - $158,000
  • Annual Bonus
  • Other potential bonus types: Billable Time Bonus, Spot Bonus, Milestone Anniversary Bonus, Receiving Professional License/Certification Bonus, Peer-reviewed Publication Bonus, Employee Referral Bonus.



Base Level Benefits for Regular Full-Time Positions:

  • Paid Company and Floating Holidays: 7 paid company and 2 floating holidays annually
  • Vacation: 2 weeks accrued paid vacation based on length of service. Vacation may vary by level.
