To perform distribution and transfer services for the departments within SIU Medicine.
**This position is ON SITE only.**

Examples of Duties
-
30% Distributes furniture, equipment and supplies to SIU Medicine locations;
15% Moves and sets up furniture, including tables and chairs for SIU Medicine events;
10% Receives and unloads trucks delivering to the School of Medicine;
35% Picks up and delivers mail to/from main post office and campus, sort, process and distribute mail to all SIU Medicine locations
5% Keeps accurate records on deliveries, supplies and equipment as required;
5% Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Credentials to be Verified by Placement Officer 1. High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Knowledge of simple clerical procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, such as moving heavy objects, bending, standing, lifting, and other manual dexterity tasks.
- Willingness to work, as directed, in all kinds of weather.
Condition of Employment: Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, an out-of-state resident who is hired into this position must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of their start date.
