Overview:

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for analyzing over $500M worth of aircraft inventory to both optimize ownership levels and determine proper station allocations based on financial and operational requirements. Responsible for accomplishing long range forecasting of material needs based on projected consumption levels and updating ownership levels accordingly. Collaborate with the stakeholders within Inventory Management to update the allocation model as necessary to optimize ownership levels and allocations. The Inventory Analyst will also be responsible for monitoring all inventory metrics, including financial and developing corrective actions to address variances in inventory performance. Responsible for creating simulations to determine the impact of component modifications and other reliability initiatives on the ownership levels and allocations. Assist in accomplishing unserviceable material dispositioning to ensure proper flow into the repair cycle. When required, perform inventory accuracy evaluations remotely and on-site.

Responsibilities:



  • Analyze and optimize inventory ownership levels.
  • Determine and continuously review allocation levels to meet operational needs.
  • Long range forecasting of material needs based on projected consumption levels.
  • Simulates impact of component modification or other reliability initiatives on the ownership levels and allocations.
  • Monitoring and reporting of all inventory metrics and development of corrective actions to address changes in performance.
  • Identifies new component allocation strategies.
  • Manages various inventory programs and pool-type agreements.
  • Collaborate with Inventory Management stakeholders to update allocation model.
  • Performs Repair vs Replace analysis to ensure most economical supply of serviceable inventory to support aircraft maintenance and overall material service level.
  • Ensure best practices are captured and implemented.
  • Maintains a high degree of cross-divisional exposure and interaction from frontline employees to senior leadership.
  • Assists in the workload in the absence of team members as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Sr. Manager, Inventory Management and Manger Inventory Control.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Operations or Supply Chain Management, enhanced degree in Mathematics, Quantitative Analysis preferred.
  • 1-3 years Airline Supply Chain Management, Inventory Analysis, Material Planning, and/or Purchasing.


  • 1-3 years of experience in a related aviation field, I.E Engineering, Maintenance, Maintenance Planning, Operations, etc.
  • Deep knowledge in supply chain processes: component life cycle management, parts pooling, and contracts.


  • Experience with MS office suite, expertise in Excel required.


  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Prior experience in Smartsheet a bonus.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a challenging workload effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a multitasking environment with continually changing priorities in a highly visible environment.
