Job Summary

Based upon user needs, and a sound understanding of applicable business or clinical systems and industry requirements, formulates and defines average to large project scopes and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve problems, considering software applications capacity, resource availability, operating time and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into proper system requirement specifications. Participates in project leadership by documenting scope and defining implementation procedures. Provides technical project management, often leading work on new implementations and upgrades of related systems and handling multiple projects simultaneously. Documents and drives best practices throughout the system. Staff members in this position are effective and self-sufficient in working within a diverse technology. Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced Business Systems Analysts.

This is a customer-facing, consultative role responsible for supporting Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) tools, processes, and the stakeholders who rely on them. This position serves as a key bridge between the business and technology, meeting stakeholders where they are in their project management maturity and helping them successfully adopt and use EPMO tools in ways that align with their operational realities. Essential Functions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure EPMO tools integrate effectively into existing enterprise workflows and systems.
  • Apply strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills to support informed decision-making and stakeholder success within the EPMO.
  • Mentor and support less senior analysts and team members, modeling strong customer service, adaptability, and collaboration.
  • Expected to build trusted relationships, provide hands-on support, drive best practices through influence, and mentor others while delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Serve as a senior, customer-facing analyst within the EPMO Operations Support team, providing direct support to stakeholders who use the EPMO tools.
  • Partner closely with business and clinical stakeholders to understand their current processes, constraints, and project management maturity, meeting them where they are and guiding them.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into clear system configurations, workflows, and implementation procedures that are practical, usable, and aligned with EPMO standards.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving issues with EPMO tools, providing timely, empathetic, and solutions-oriented support.
  • Document, promote, and evolve EPMO best practices while balancing consistency, governance, and stakeholder needs.
  • Stay current on PMO methodologies, industry trends, and evolving business or clinical requirements, assessing implications for EPMO tools and operations.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in systems analysis, PMO support, or related role
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with business or clinical stakeholders in a customer-facing or consultative capacity

Preferred

  • Master's Degreeor equivalent
  • 7 years of relevant experience including experience formulating and defining systems scopes and objectives
  • Certification(s) related to project management or PMO tools
  • Administrative experience implementing, configuring, and supporting EPMO tools such as Planview, Jira, and Confluence (highly preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of PMO methodologies, with hands-on experience supporting both waterfall and agile delivery models (highly preferred)
  • Experience across the systems development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, and deployment
  • Participation in multiple phases of integrated system implementations or enterprise tool rollouts
  • Background in health care, sciences or information systems
