POSITION CONCEPT

The LMS Administrator - Learning Systems provides expert administration, governance, and optimization of the enterprise Learning Management System (LMS), Saba Cloud/Cornerstone Saba. Ensures a seamless, compliant, and user-centered learning ecosystem by overseeing system configuration, operations, data integrity, reporting, and stakeholder enablement. Drives business objectives related to the learning programs that supports the overall company's strategies. Advance system effectiveness, data-driven insights, and a more intuitive user experience supporting governance, quality standards, insights, role-based user enablement, and cross-functional partnership.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. LMS Administration, Configuration & Operations (35%)



  • Administer and configure the LMS including user provisioning, role-based security (RBS) permissions, catalogs, curricula, certifications, and notifications.
  • Manage learning assignments, scheduling, waitlists, and recurring compliance.
  • Maintain sandbox environments and conduct regression testing.
  • Troubleshoot Tier 1-2 issues and maintain an issue log with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure catalog accuracy, metadata quality, and tagging compliance.



  1. Governance, Quality, Security & Data Integrity (25%)



  • Enforce governance standards for naming conventions, taxonomy, metadata, version control, and archival.
  • Conduct data audits and ensure integrity of user records, completions, and mappings.
  • Collaborate with IT/HRIS on identity/access alignment, security, and audits.
  • Maintain SOPs, admin playbooks, and knowledge base documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory expectations.



  1. Reporting, Analytics & Compliance (20%)



  • Develop automated reports and dashboards for compliance, completions, and learning metrics.
  • Monitor compliance performance and escalate deadlines to leaders.
  • Prepare audit-ready documentation and evidence.
  • Provide insights to inform operational decisions and improvements.
  • Maintain consistent metric definitions and reporting standards.



  1. Content Hosting, Testing & Technical Publishing (10%)



  • Upload, test, validate, and deploy SCORM/xAPI/AICC packages and digital learning assets.
  • Verify completion logic, browser/device compatibility, and accessibility standards.
  • Support SMEs and vendors with technical deployment.
  • Maintain content repositories with accurate metadata, tagging, and archival control.



  1. Stakeholder Partnership, Communications & System Training (10%)



  • Deliver role-based system training to learners, leaders, instructors, and administrators.
  • Provide "train-the-trainer" enablement focused on LMS functionality only.
  • Create and distribute system-focused communications such as release notes and job aids.
  • Partner with HR, Compliance, IT/HRIS, and business stakeholders to align system functionality with needs.
  • Participate in feature evaluations and provide recommendations.



RELATIONSHIPS

Internal: HR, HRIS, Technology, Compliance, People Leaders, SMEs, Communications, Program Managers, and the Corporate Learning Team.

External: LMS vendor and content library partners (in partnership with the Corporate Learning Team), and technology service providers.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

Required: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Learning Technologies, Business Systems, Educational Technology, or related field.

Preferred: Master's degree in a related discipline.

EXPERIENCE:

Required:



  • 5 years LMS administration experience.
  • Experience in system configuration, permissions, automated assignments, and learning operations.
  • Experience with SCORM/xAPI publishing and HRIS/SSO integrations.
  • Background in data accuracy, compliance reporting, and audit-readiness.


Preferred:



  • Experience with Saba Cloud/Cornerstone Saba software.
  • Experience with SaaS learning systems or regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with service management ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira).



Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA):

Required:



  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and data integrity.
  • Proficiency with Excel/Sheets and comfort with BI tools.
  • Understanding of identity/access management and accessibility basics.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder partnership skills.
