As the
Document Manager in a PCBA Manufacturing Facility, you are responsible for overseeing the creation, maintenance, and quality of documentation within an organization, ensuring compliance and effective communication.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
:
- Manage and facilitate Documentation Projects: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of documentation projects, ensuring they meet organizational standards and deadlines.
- Create, Facilitate, Maintain Documentation with the support of functional leaders: Develop and update various types of documentation, including user manuals, technical specifications, and training materials. This includes ensuring that all documents are accurate, clear, and accessible.
- Guide Functional Personnel: Guide and mentor functional teams by providing guidance on best practices and ensuring consistency in documentation style and quality
- Ensure Compliance: Monitor documentation processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO or HIPAA, depending on the industry
- Develop Documentation Standards: Establish and maintain documentation templates, style guides, and best practices to ensure a cohesive voice and format across all company documents.
- Coordinate with Other Departments: Collaborate with various teams, such as product development, marketing, and customer support, to gather information and ensure that documentation meets the needs of all stakeholders.
- Manage Document Storage and Access: Oversee the organization and storage of documentation, ensuring that all materials are easily accessible to authorized personnel.
- Conduct Training: Provide training for new hires and existing staff on documentation processes, tools, and best practices.
- Track Performance Metrics: Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for the documentation team and track progress to ensure that goals are met within budget and timeline.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and update documentation processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness, incorporating feedback from users and stakeholders

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Business Administration, Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of experience in documentation management, technical writing, or knowledge management, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of project management experience leading documentation projects or leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., ISO-certified or healthcare settings).
- Advanced technical writing and editing skills, ability to create templates, style guides, SOPs, and structured documentation systems and knowledge of version control and document access controls.
- Proven experience developing and implementing documentation standards and governance frameworks and Strong knowledge of documentation lifecycle management and experience with document management systems (DMS) and collaboration tools.
- Strong stakeholder management and proven ability to lead, mentor and influence cross-functional teams.
- Experience developing and delivering training programs with strong presentation and facilitation skills.
