Responsibilities This role is a senior member of the Space & Missions Solutions (SMS) Sector's Senior Leadership Team, accountable for the integrated optimization of business operations across line-of-business, finance, contracts, procurement, human resources, talent acquisition, security, and information technology functions. The position is designed to run at the intersection of these functions, driving operational performance, efficiency, and execution excellence to enable the success of the sector's growth objectives. The Director of Operations serves as a key integrator, ensuring cross-functional collaboration, resolving complex enterprise issues, and translating strategy into operational results.
Key Responsibilities
*Actively engage in identifying and resolving operational, organizational, and management challenges that impede efficiency, growth, or profitability.
*Continually and proactively assess processes across all functional disciplines and seek process re-engineering initiatives that improve effectiveness and reduce legacy stovepipes/inefficiency.
*Lead and ensure efficient, integrated workflows across all sector business functions, proactively resolving issues that span multiple disciplines.
*Establish and oversee service-level expectations for sector business functions; drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency across end-to-end workflows.
*Direct the preparation, review, and execution of monthly business management reviews; ensure consistent and effective program management reviews across business units.
*Partner with the Vice President of Finance to maintain and utilize a sector AOP dashboard, enabling effective management of revenue, profitability, direct labor, workforce growth, employee engagement, DSO, and contract performance quality (CPAR).
Reporting & Location
*Reports directly to the Sector President and works closely with the full Sector Leadership Team and the Corporate COO.
*The sector is headquartered in Northern Virginia. While some staff operate in a hybrid environment, this role requires a regular presence in the Washington, DC area to support face-to-face engagement with sector leadership, corporate teams, and regional program organizations. . Qualifications
Minimum of 16 years of relevant experience, including leadership and management roles at senior organizational levels.

Target Salary Range $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
