Are you a Product Counsel with strong contracting experience, or a commercial-focused attorney with an aptitude for complex technology? If so, this is a dynamic opportunity to join the high-impact Product Legal team at Snowflake, a leading multi-national SaaS organization providing the platform for the AI era. As a Senior Corporate Counsel, you will serve as a critical bridge between go-to-market strategy and product innovation, ensuring our global offerings are supported by robust, scalable, and forward-thinking contractual frameworks. The role is based in Menlo Park, California, with a hybrid in-office requirement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Product Terms & Negotiation: Lead the drafting, negotiation, and continuous updating of product-specific terms and conditions.

  • Commercial Support: Partner closely with the commercial legal team as a subject matter expert during complex customer negotiations, with a specific emphasis on AI offerings.

  • Partnership Support: Support the tech transactions and alliances legal team to ensure that third-party relationships and terms align with our product needs.

  • Process Optimization: Support the continuous improvement of legal forms, policies, and processes to build scalable solutions that streamline global legal support.

  • Advisory Support: Work closely with product and engineering teams to understand our offerings and advise on contractual, legal and regulatory requirements for existing and new offerings.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive alignment across the legal department and broader organization on matters involving privacy, security, compliance, and intellectual property.

REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking for a tech-savvy attorney who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment:

  • Education & License: JD from an accredited law school, membership in at least one state bar, and the ability to practice law in California.

  • Experience: At least 6 years of combined product and commercial legal experience is preferred, ideally with both law firm and in-house practice.

  • Technical Proficiency: Must be able to quickly master and support new technologies and paradigms, including using AI-powered tech to enhance workflow efficiency and deliver high-quality results.

  • Communication: Proven ability to translate complicated legal and technical concepts into simple, actionable terms for legal colleagues and business stakeholders.

  • Mindset: Strong collegiality, sense of humor, and an attitude of issue ownership-no project is too big or too small.

  • Agility: Comfort working in an extremely fast-paced, evolving environment.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $202,000 - $265,600.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
