Description

Phoenix Defense seeks a world-class simulation software architect with 30 years of experience across the complete spectrum of Army Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training systems. This Technical Fellow-equivalent role is critical to our Army Transformation strategy (LoD 1), specifically the development of our Phalanx Decision Support System and positioning for NGC2 ecosystem integration. The ideal candidate brings deep institutional knowledge of legacy system architectures, migration pathways, STE requirements, and emerging MOSA standards. This individual will serve as the technical conscience for Phoenix's simulation strategy while enabling Force-on-Force training through LVC integration architecture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Serve as lead architect for Phalanx Decision Support System - integrating generative AI with simulation data for commander decision support
  • Develop NGC2 integration strategy identifying Phoenix insertion points within Anduril Lattice Mesh/Palantir TWB ecosystem
  • Author technical whitepapers demonstrating Train Like You Fight capability alignment with Army transformation objectives
  • Architect Force-on-Force simulation capabilities including constructive and virtual FoF integration with live instrumented training
  • Design Cloud T-SaaS delivery platform architecture enabling virtualized training services
  • Develop LVC integration standards for training pipeline offerings and MTT software configurations
  • Develop legacy system modernization roadmaps for sustainment proposals (HH-60, MIOSS, JSE)
  • Leverage 30 years of relationships across Army simulation community to enhance customer intimacy and competitive intelligence


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; Master's or PhD preferred
  • 30 years of experience in military simulation and training systems
  • Deep expertise across all major Army Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training systems
  • Demonstrated experience with Synthetic Training Environment (STE) architecture and requirements
  • Strong understanding of MOSA, DIS/HLA standards, and simulation interoperability protocols
  • Proven track record of architecting complex distributed simulation systems
  • Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI eligibility preferred)


PREFERRED QUAALIFICATIONS:



  • Experience with AI/ML integration in simulation systems
  • Background with JLCCTC, TRACER, CCTT, AVCATT, SECORE or similar Army simulation programs
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures and T-SaaS delivery models
  • Knowledge of Force-on-Force training systems and combined arms exercise support
  • Prior experience as Chief Architect, Technical Fellow, or equivalent senior technical leadership
