National Grid Ventures is hiring a Business Development Manager (MISO) - Competitive Transmission. This hybrid role can sit in either our Boston MA or Brooklyn NY location. Job Purpose
The Business Development Manager (Manager) will support NGV's efforts to capitalize on the growing opportunity for investment in competitive transmission in ISOs and RTOs across the US through the origination, development, and delivery of competitive transmission projects in the MISO region. This role will focus on growing the pipeline of competitive transmission projects in MISO by identifying and evaluating attractive opportunities for investment, supporting development of strategic partnerships, leading bids into competitive solicitations, and working to shape the market to secure NGVs long-term position. The Manager will work closely with the Commercial Strategy, Regulatory and Policy, and Asset Development teams to build NGV's presence in MISO and support the execution of a holistic US competitive transmission strategy that results in a portfolio of projects that exceed NGVs risk/return profile. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, possess knowledge of strategy refinement toolkits, have a track record of collaborating across diverse internal and external stakeholders, experience communicating with senior executives, defining project goals to align with business strategy, and an understanding of how to create value to drive revenue and profitability. While not required there is a strong preference for candidates living within the MISO footprint. Key Accountabilities

Salary New England MA $168,000 - $188,000 a year Downstate NY $171,000 - $201,000 a year National Grid utilizes an assessment that evaluates the job qualifications/characteristics using AI or statistically based scoring. This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
