We are currently looking for a IT Solution Engineer to join our team in Holland, MI.



Job Overview

This role develops and maintains IT solutions by designing, coding, testing, and debugging software components. It collaborates closely with team members to analyze system requirements, review business processes, and adapt to evolving development environments. The position provides IT/OT support for manufacturing operations, including applications and programs that run production equipment and logistics processes. Strong foundational knowledge in web and application development, SQL, and database/server architecture is beneficial. Overall, the role ensures reliable technology performance on the manufacturing floor and supports continuous operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of code to ensure quality and functionality. Participate in Code Reviews regularly.
  • Develop and maintain software applications according to technical specifications.
  • Collaborate effectively with other developers, testers, stakeholders and facilities, operations and maintenance.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Assist in project planning utilizing agile development methodologies.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Information Systems or similar field of study
  • Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary education
  • Work Experience: 2 years experience supporting IT in Manufacturing or Logistics
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, mostly locally within Michigan
  • Military Equivalency at www.mynextmove.org/vets/find/military
  • Applicants must be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
  • Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing organization supporting operations or logistics
  • Experience with manufacturing technology
  • SAP experience (ECC or S/4HANA)
  • Strong technical and application focused mindset
  • Hands on problem solver with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset
  • Comfortable working on the plant floor and with manufacturing teams
  • Experience with machine related applications or manufacturing systems
  • Basic web or application development skills
  • SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
  • Knowledge of server architecture and system integrations
  • Familiarity with MES/SCADA or other industrial software
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Clear communication across technical and nontechnical teams
