Role Descriptions & Responsibilities

As a Language and Translation QA intern, your tasks will be focused primarily on testing and validating that the product is not over- or under-localized. This process includes the review and evaluation of string lists, the identification of resource string locations, validating forms in the front end, and reporting any bugs found.

You will be working with a small group of individuals located in different regions, spanning across multiple time zones. Additionally, the Translation/Localization team works hand-in-hand with other internal R&D teams and external LSPs; tasks include providing files, testing assistance and feedback regarding translations and ERP processes on a frequent basis. Desired working hours would be between the hours of 7 AM - 4 PM Pacific (Monday through Friday, observing company holidays), although shift times are negotiable.

Qualifications

* Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program

* Ability to understand and evaluate the translatability of code

* Ability to evaluate translation quality based on defined patterns and requirements per language

* Strong English skills required, working proficiency in additional language desired

* Preferred, but not required: - Experience with CAT tools, such as SDL Trados Studios and/or SDL Passolo

* Experience with Internationalization, Localization and/or Translation processes

* Confident in ability to learn and think critically

* Can work autonomously

* Cognizant and respectful of cultural differences
