Position Overview

Arkema Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join our maintenance team at the Calvert City, Kentucky facility. This union hourly role requires strong technical expertise in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems within a chemical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities Electrical Maintenance
  • Perform electrical maintenance activities within a manufacturing environment.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair high, medium, and low voltage electrical systems.
Instrumentation Work
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation, hardware, and software used to control processes in a chemical manufacturing facility.
  • Maintain and calibrate process control equipment to ensure accurate and reliable operation.
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure proper and safe use of all tools required to maintain electrical and instrumentation circuits.
  • Follow all plant safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Minimum of five years of practical experience and required training in an industrial facility as an E&I Technician or equivalent craft.
  • Proficiency in distributed control systems such as ABB and Bailey, safety control systems, and programmable logic controllers (Allen Bradley).
  • Experience with variable frequency drives (ABB) and process instrumentation (e.g., Emerson Rosemount, Micro-Motion, E&H).
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and instrumentation.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
