Duties: Lead, manage and motivate a seasoned crew of craftsman in a top tier award winning custom millwork shop Direct reports include Estimating staff of 3-4, Production Supervisor, Production Staff of 8-10 Responsible for inventory purchasing to ensure efficient production; assist in capital expenditure assessment Create budgets with upper management for building/machine repair and maintenance and improvements, new machine technologies, and payroll Supervise the millwork estimating department staff to ensure accuracy of orders Assist with estimating custom projects such as, but not limited to cabinets, doors, wood tops, trim packages, mantels, stair packages, and curved moldings Set pricing for custom products produced out of the shop Meet with Brunsell sales staff and coordinate lead times and upcoming large project workflow Meet with Contractors/Homeowners in office or at the jobsite to make selections for projects Template or make final measurements for shop production of custom projects Administer & manage company safety and compliance programs for the department Coordinate management of finished goods and delivery Candidates with experience in one or more the following will be considered first: Millwork sales and estimating Millwork production and production scheduling Understanding of wood and its properties Leadership in a production facility, or related management skills Enforcing Safety and regulations Knowledge of specific millwork industry standard tools and systems Management of maintenance and preventative machine maintenance cycles | |
