What is the Opportunity? This role supports the execution and ongoing maintenance of the Client Due Diligence program for RBC US Wealth Management. The individual will provide oversight of Target Operating Model functions as a subject matter expert in client risk rating and the USWM client risk appetite. What will you do?
Evaluate client risk though due diligence, regulatory compliance, and effective risk management meeting both regulatory standards and internal requirements. Review and assess AML risks associated with sector, adverse media, and political exposure to meet firm requirements. Analyze information to ensure alignment with risk tolerance. Ensure detailed reports summarize findings and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders, e.g. AML management, auditors and regulators. Identify and escalate risks to management in a timely and effective manner. Propose risk mitigation strategies for identified concerns. Build and maintain productive collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders and liaise with Enterprise Financial Crimes High Risk Client team in relation to client due diligence reviews and processes. Identify opportunities for training, communication, and procedural enhancements based on observations relating to client due diligence process and procedures. Engage and collaborate with team members through the presentation of ideas and recommendations regarding best practices. Provide support for technology projects relevant to client due diligence. Maintain industry expertise through regular participation in AML-related forums and training. Create and maintain various Financial Crimes procedural documentation. Support and coordinate responses on Internal Audit engagements, 2LOD monitoring and testing, and regulatory examinations, as needed.
What do you need to succeed?
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience Strong understanding of Bank Secrecy Act ("BSA"), Office of Foreign Asset Control ("OFAC"), and other relevant U.S. regulations Experience conducting research and analysis involving client due diligence requirements Effective communication skills and ability to impact/influence Sound knowledge of banking/brokerage operations Working knowledge of systems, technology, and databases Proficient analytical skills Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist ("CAMS") designation preferred Strong organizational/time-management skills Ability to effectively prioritize and complete multiple priorities Strong critical thinking skills and meticulous attention to detail Ability to interact with 1LOD/2LOD functions Ability to deal with ambiguity Ability to pursue goals and resolve obstacles encountered Able to contribute ideas for process improvements and adapt easily to procedural changes Broad knowledge of banking and investment products/services and understanding of FC-related risks (i.e., money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions, bribery and corruption)

The expected salary range for this particular position is $90,000-$160,000 (Minnesota), depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs. You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
