Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon

A Brief Overview:

You will join a team of 29 partners in the multispecialty General Surgery Division, specifically with 9 surgeons dedicated to acute care/trauma services. The division is also comprised of fellowship trained surgeons in critical care, colorectal, minimally invasive, bariatric, and hepatobiliarysubspecialties.

Responsibilities include:

• Coverage of in-house Level 1 Trauma and Emergency General Surgery at Evanston Hospital;
• Coverage of Level 2 Trauma Call and Emergency General Surgery at Skokie, Glenbrook, and Highland Park Hospitals;
• Four to six hours per month of general surgery post op clinic;
• Coverage of critical care in the Surgical ICU at Evanston and Skokie Hospitals
• Oversees Residency and Fellowship Programs through the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
• Teaching opportunities, academic appointment
• Research opportunities are available for interested and qualified candidates.

What you will need:

• MD/DO
• IL Medical license or pending approval
• DEA license
• BC/BE
• 5+ years of experience preferred
• Fellowship trained in Critical Care preferred

Salary based on years of experience - range of $356,838 - $585,908
