Department Overview

Learning and Talent Development is responsible for training and assisting new and current associates in preparing for their job responsibilities. This area conducts various training classes on topics such as professional development skills, claims processing skills and customer service skills. Also, they develop and maintain online documentation systems and online customized courses for the organization. These courses and many other learning events are delivered through the corporate Learning Management System, called Connections.

Primary Responsibilities

The Learning Technology Specialist reports to the Learning Design and Documentation Manager within Learning and Talent Development and works closely with associates at all levels of the organization. The role focuses on researching, testing, and applying learning technologies that enhance training effectiveness and efficiency. The Specialist partners with instructional teams across Learning and Talent Development to implement and support technology solutions, including classroom technologies, and may collaborate with other corporate areas to support training initiatives.

To meet organizational needs, the Specialist must maintain strong expertise in learning technologies and effective training practices, assess customer needs and goals, and recommend comprehensive solutions for improvement. The role also includes delivering training on technology tools, supporting their use in learning events, and assisting with the development and delivery of system-related training as requested by Learning and Talent Development leadership.

Summary of Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Education/Training Technology, Computer Technology, or Business
  • Two years of experience in a training, technology, or educational role and environment
  • Experience with and knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and integration of 3rd party vendors within the LMS
  • Experience with and knowledge of various technologies related to enhancing learning opportunities including multimedia approaches, use of blended learning, forums, podcasts, etc.
  • Proven quick learner in order to effectively establish a learning situation that meets business objectives
  • Demonstrated proficiency with internet/intranet architecture, advance expertise with Microsoft Office software, and expertise with reporting software analytics
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, specifically in a training environment
  • Demonstrated experience multi-tasking
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain productive and cooperative working relationships with management and associates
  • Project management skills preferred
  • Tableau knowledge and training experience preferred
  • Crystal Reports/Crystal Enterprise knowledge and training experience preferred
  • Microsoft Excel knowledge and training experience preferred
  • Master's degree preferred
Work Location

The work schedule for this position will be full-time remote. Business areas reserve the right to require associates to return to the office as needed, based on performance or other business considerations. A remote work schedule is subject to amendment or termination at any time by the Company.
