Summary: The Digital Experience Manager will develop and maintain the digital presence for the Division of Education, which will include but not be limited to an educational portal (e.g., website) on facs.org, a link on the myACS application and/or similar entry points. This individual will help teams within the Division of Education create a seamless user experience in the education portal and other space that is public facing, such as social media platforms or similar media.

This exempt position will report to the Senior Manager, Digital Integration and Transformation in the Division of Education. It is based in our Chicago office and is a hybrid role: 3 days per week in the office/2 days per week remote.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $92,000 - $110,000 (commensurate with related experience).

Key Responsibilities:


Creation of Digital Presence for the Division of Education

  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of educational programs across all teams within the Division of Education in order to develop an outward facing digital presence.
  • Collaborates with Division of Education teams, IT, and Integrated Communications to create and maintain a digital presence that promotes educational programs.
  • Ensures outward facing digital presence is organized to provide a seamless user experience, including ease of access, usability, and a positive experience for ACS members.


Maintenance of Digital Presence

  • Regularly reviews digital content produced by the Division of Education to ensure alignment between content, and digital presence.
  • Maintains clear, accessible presentation of information and seamless user pathways across digital platforms.
  • Updates digital presence content as needed to reflect program changes, enhancements, and evolving organizational priorities.


Interfacing with IT Groups External to the Division of Education

  • Works with Division of Education stakeholders and IT partners to support effective use of ACS digital systems and platforms.
  • Coordinates activities related to digital content functionality, including purchasing workflows, application performance, and related modalities.
  • Supports adherence to user privacy standards and contributes to effective customer service experiences for ACS members.


Customer Liaison

  • Engages with users, as appropriate, to gather feedback on digital content and user experience.
  • Uses user input to inform the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Division of Education digital content.
  • Serves as a point of contact to support understanding of user needs and enhance overall digital engagement.



Required Education and/or Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred in a relevant field such as Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Web Development, User Experience (UX) Design, or related discipline.
  • Associate's degree with equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience required in digital content management, web administration, or digital communications.
  • Experience in associations, professional societies, healthcare, and/or medical education environments preferred.
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), including WordPress, Drupal, or similar platforms required.
  • Experience creating and maintaining digital content for educational portals, learning hubs, or member-facing platforms highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in UI/UX design principles, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing preferred.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating digital content creation, web design, and/or UI/UX work is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent graphic design software.
  • Experience managing social media content and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and coordinating with IT, communications, and marketing departments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex information into clear, user-friendly content.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Customer service orientation with ability to gather user requirements and translate feedback into digital improvements.
