Title: National Accounts Sales Manager
Location: Clayton, MO
Salary: $144,000 - $165,000 (depending on related experience)
Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday

Focus: This role is responsible for executing sales strategies, strengthening key customer relationships, and driving profitable growth across major outdoor and sporting goods retailers.
National Accounts Sales Manager Essential Functions:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of national chain accounts to include large-format outdoor and sporting goods retailers/distributors.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives for key national accounts.
- Achieve annual sales, margin, and growth targets within assigned accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key buyers, merchants, and decision-makers.
- Analyze Point of Sale (POS) data, inventory trends, and customer insights to drive replenishment and promotional strategies.
- Identify industry trends, competitive dynamics, and new business opportunities within the outdoor retail channel.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to optimize product assortment and positioning.
- Lead joint business planning (JBP) with key accounts, including promotional calendars and new product launches.
- Collaborate with supply chain and demand planning teams to ensure product availability and forecast accuracy.
- Support development and execution of retail programs, merchandising strategies, and in-store initiatives.
- Train and support internal and field sales teams on national account strategies and priorities.
- Develop data-driven account plans leveraging sales analytics, marketing initiatives, and promotional opportunities.
National Accounts Sales Manager Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree*; Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum five years of experience managing retail accounts; preferably in sporting goods, outdoor, CPG, industries.
- Experience working with Walmart, Bass Pro Shops, Academy or similar national outdoor retailers strongly preferred.
- Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI, SPS Commerce, Salesforce.com, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and Copilot Artificial Intelligence resources proficiency preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze POS data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience or knowledge of the shooting sports, hunting, or outdoor industry preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to work both independently and cross-functionally.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel approximately 25%.
Location-Specific Requirements:
- This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
