The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women's and 10 men's programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation's premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as "The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory. |
| Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator I for Intercollegiate Athletics. This position reports to the Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development and Success, and plays an integral role in advancing the mission of the Scarlet Knights For Life program at Rutgers University-New Brunswick.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Supports varsity intercollegiate student-athletes in their career development, personal enrichment, and community engagement efforts, helping prepare them for success during and beyond their collegiate experience.
- Assists with individual and group career advising, job placement support, and employer relations,
- Tracks and communicates internship and employment opportunities to student-athletes based on their interests and future goals.
- Supports campus and community engagement programming.
- Coordinates career events and networking initiatives, and contributes to annual reporting and partnership development efforts.
- Supports alumni engagement initiatives for former student-athletes (letterwinners).
- Serves as a staff liaison for assigned teams, assisting with one-on-one career advising, personal enrichment programming, community engagement activities, and alumni programming.
- Advances a comprehensive development model that connects student-athletes with
- meaningful professional pathways and lifelong engagement opportunities.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources, education, business or any related field.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience.
