Position Summary: Create, issue, monitor and analyze purchase orders created for Technical Operations (Tech Ops). Resolve Purchase Order (PO) issues with Tech Ops & Accounts Payable. Ensure that the Company's purchasing power is properly leveraged to minimize material costs. Major Job Accountabilities: Fiduciary duty for the airline overall financial health, safety, security and compliance by supporting Maintenance planning the best available sources of supply and selection of delivery methods in alignment with the level of urgency required. Create PO based on requisitions assigned to Technical Purchasing and Powerplant Material group. Negotiate with multiple vendors for the best optimal market price. Ability to differentiate quality of parts based on different part certification and teardown report. Provide vendor with best method of shipment based on part origin. Responsible for ensuring that purchased items are airworthy, have the required paperwork, and comply with company policies regarding quality, documentation and traceability. Ensures adherence to Approved Vendor Listing (AVL) and General Maintenance Manual (GMM). Monitors open orders and incoming deliveries. Resolve invoice issues with Tech Ops and Accounts Payable regarding purchase orders. Produce reports on vendor performance and use information to improve vendor performance. Additional duties as assigned Qualifications: 4-Year Degree strongly preferred A minimum of 1-year experience in a purchasing role or environment preferred Strong analytical skills as well as be proficient in MS Excel required Airline and TRAX experience a plus.
