Client Service Representative (Teller)

The Retail Banking Apprenticeship Program offers insight and hands-on experience across all areas and levels of the bank. This unique opportunity allows students to explore the full range of careers in banking, far beyond the traditional teller role. Apprentices follow a structured pathway toward a rewarding future in financial services, learning about customer service, lending, operations, compliance, and more. They will discover all the possibilities the banking world has to offer while building professional skills for long-term success. The Retail Banking Apprenticeship is in partnership with the Financial Services Academy (fsaindiana.org), which is part of the new Indiana Career Apprenticeship Pathway (indianacap.org).

Role Snapshot:

Retail bankers assist clients with day-to-day banking needs by helping them to manage their money through bank products. They serve as the frontline representatives of a bank, building relationships and supporting clients' financial well-being. As apprentices progress toward becoming fully trained Client Service Representative (Teller), they will gain a solid understanding of key banking concepts and practices throughout the two-year program, leading to a broad understanding of banking, including:

    Banking Structure, Strategy, and Leadership
  • Customer-Facing Services
  • Lending and Products
  • Compliance and Security
  • Core, Transferable Professional Skills

Number of Slots Available: 7

Start Date: Week of July 6th, 2026

Starting Wage: $15 hourly

Work Format: In-person

Location: TBD - 10+ location opportunities across Evansville, Mount Vernon, Newburgh, and Boonville

Transportation: Apprentice's responsibility

16-18 hours per week Year 1

20-24 hours per week Year 2

Summer and school break availability is preferred.

  • Indiana High School Diploma
  • Honors Plus Employment Seal
  • INCAP AP Credential
  • Financial Services Academy Retail Banking Certificate*

*In addition to being listed as an Indiana Credential of Value, this certificate is formally approved by the Indiana Bankers Association and recognized by its member banks.
