Job Description
Role Description The Material Clerk is accountable for the efficient management of raw material handling. Additionally contributing to the movement of lubricants, reels, pallets, and wire along with maintaining inventory and accuracy for all. Duties & Responsibilities
- Stages (pulls) work orders ahead as required by Production Supervisor and Plant Scheduler, maintaining adequate inventory rotation and partial wire usage.
- Responsible for facilitating raw materials to the production lines.
- Issues wire from stock as new orders are released or from wire requests from Stranding Machine Operators and returns to stock of remaining wire.
- Maintains inventory accuracy by verifying locations and pallet identification.
- Maintains warehouse in adequate order and housekeeping.
- Performs all job duties in accordance with work instructions and quality standards.
- Responsible for his/her own safety and the safety of those around the machine.
- Regular attendance, punctuality and the ability to work scheduled shifts including overtime when necessary.
- Prepare a weekly status report of cycle count or inventory adjustment activity.
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or 1 year of equivalent work experience.
- Basic math skills.
- Fluent in Spanish
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to learn to use measuring devices such as micrometers.
- Interest in continuing to develop skills and training.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to operate a forklift.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years manufacturing and/or warehouse experience.
- Detail oriented with a clear sense of urgency and ownership of all job responsibilities.
- A desire to be a part of a winning culture and a team player with initiatives to serve and continuously improve.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Combination office/production floor environment.
- Standing/walking on concrete floors for 12-hour shifts.
- Pushing/pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs.
Materials and Equipment Directly Used
- Standard office equipment including computer, mouse, keyboard, telephone, multifunction copier.
- Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed safety shoes.
- Company information systems including but not limited to Microsoft Office, JD Edwards, Insight, DSI tran-collector/RF_Scanners. Operate fork-truck and hoists, band cutters, micrometers
