We're seeking a highly skilled Performance Engineer to join a dedicated team at the forefront of ensuring optimal application and infrastructure performance. This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your expertise to diagnose, resolve, and prevent complex performance issues across a distributed environment, directly contributing to seamless operations and outstanding user experiences.

**What You'll Do:**

In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring optimal application and infrastructure performance across our enterprise environment, working with Application Performance Management (APM) and other performance software to support critical business systems. You'll collaborate closely with development and operations teams, playing a critical role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of applications and infrastructure, ensuring exceptional user experiences through proactive performance management.

* Lead application performance triage efforts, diagnosing and resolving complex performance issues across distributed systems.

* Support the management and optimization of the enterprise APM platform.

* Consult with application teams, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders to identify performance issues and implement solutions.

* Participate in incident response for performance-related production issues.

* Create documentation and runbooks for performance monitoring and triage processes.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* 5+ years of experience in performance engineering or similar roles.

* Strong expertise with APM tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Datadog, New Relic).

* Experience supporting large enterprise environments.

* Deep understanding of application performance triage methodologies and root cause analysis.

* Experience with distributed systems, microservices architectures, and cloud platforms.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

* Experience working collaboratively across multiple teams and organizations.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**

* Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools and practices.

* Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).

* Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies (JMeter, LoadRunner, Neoload, etc.).

* Mainframe performance monitoring and optimization experience.

* Network performance monitoring experience and tools (e.g., Wireshark, other network performance monitoring tools).

* Familiarity with chaos engineering principles and tools.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $43 to $48. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
