Under the direction of the Associate VP of Business Intelligence, the Reporting Analyst works with various teams across the university to define, document and implement their data, information and reporting needs. This role will develop new reports, dashboards and queries as well as modify existing ones in accordance with the established requirements. Along with this, this position works collaboratively with business partners and the rest of the Business Intelligence team to broadly help support the information needs of the University.
Hours will follow a standard Monday-Friday full-time schedule with some evening and weekend work based on project needs or as technology release cycles require.

REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Intelligence or related required.
  • 2 years of experience required within report writing.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology stacks like Microsoft and Salesforce required.
  • Strong understanding of Data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts required.


Compensation is determined based on the qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for new employees to start near the top of the salary range. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a tuition waiver and reimbursement program, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan. The salary range for this position is $70,550 to $94,450.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Participate in the full Data Analytics and Reporting solution lifecycle including planning, analysis, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance and support.
  • Analyze and model the business needs to create a complete picture of data, workflows and technical requirements.
  • Develop reports, dashboards and ad-hoc quires and analyze data to give insights into better decision making.
  • Look at needs of stakeholders with multiple different perspectives and suggest creative solutions.
  • Facilitate high value discussions to elicit requirements and then produce documents displaying the findings.
  • Create visualizations using SQL, SSRS, PowerBI, Salesforce and CRMA.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and other visualization tools to track institutional KPIs and metrics.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in data sources and suggest improvements to data collection processes where necessary.
  • Revise data and reporting solutions to overcome problems faced by business partners.
  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure seamless data integration.
  • Train and support end-users in accessing and interpreting reports and data visualizations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis.
  • All other duties as assigned.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position half of the time.
  • Verbally communicates with students, staff and colleagues via telephone or face to face conversations.
  • Visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess.
  • Operate equipment specific to programmatic track, personal computer, audio-visual equipment, etc.
  • Frequently lift, carry and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to travel on work assignments nationally and internationally.
  • Ability to work additional hours during week and/or weekend, as required.
