Job Location : Hartford, WI
Shift : 1 st shift, 6:30am - 2:30pm, M-F
Salary Range : $25.00/hour
Position Summary
The Electronics Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and calibrating a wide variety of electronic instruments and circuit boards used to measure and determine properties of molten metal in industrial environments. This role ensures equipment operates accurately and reliably by diagnosing technical issues, validating performance, and maintaining instruments to predetermined specifications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair a variety of small to moderately complex electronic instruments and circuit boards.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues using electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Test, validate, and calibrate instruments to ensure performance meets established specifications.
  • Perform functional testing to verify proper operation before equipment is returned to service.
  • Document repair activities, calibration results, and testing outcomes.
  • Work with engineering and production teams to resolve recurring equipment issues.
  • Maintain organized workstations, tools, and repair documentation.
  • Follow company safety procedures and quality standards when handling electronic components and testing equipment.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or technical diploma in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment or instrumentation.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components, circuits, and diagnostic techniques.
  • Experience using electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and calibration tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with industrial instrumentation or measurement equipment.
  • Experience performing calibration and validation procedures.
  • Familiarity with quality systems or documentation in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing and electronics repair environment.
  • Work involves bench-level electronic troubleshooting, instrument testing, and calibration.
