Our organization is accountable for program planning, financial budgeting, and project execution and delivery of all electric engineering projects. Electric Engineering is comprised of approximately 2,000 coworkers. Position Summary With guidance from senior engineers, this role will focus on developing proactive, datadriven solutions for PG&E. The candidate will analyze electric distribution asset failure data and leverage data engineering, visualization, and trend analysis to support asset strategy decisionmaking. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience applying asset management principles by supporting the Distribution Overhead Asset Strategy team. This role provides exposure to asset lifecycle concepts and foundational knowledge of distribution conductors, support structures, transformers, protection equipment, and switching equipment. The candidate will support senior Distribution Engineers by helping evaluate and inform the effectiveness of asset management practices, considering both short and longterm asset performance and system reliability. The candidate will support efforts to enhance understanding of asset system failures, threat identification, and outage analysis related to distribution overhead equipment. Responsibilities include maintaining and improving asset failure dashboards and visualizations, as well as analyzing asset management knowledge databases-such as failure modes, technical standards, and asset-specific management practices-to identify emerging risks and recommend system improvements. PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
