Position Summary

Trideum Corporation is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Engineer to support the development of advanced AI-enabled capabilities for our core product platforms. This role focuses on rapid prototyping and applied AI integration, working closely with the Solutions Team to design, develop, and demonstrate new capabilities that address emerging mission needs for U.S. Army customers.

The selected candidate will work at Trideum HQ. The selected candidate will translate operational problems and customer requirements into working prototype features, leveraging modern AI technologies including large language models, automation pipelines, and data-driven workflows. Once prototype capabilities are validated and accepted, the engineer will collaborate with the development team to transition successful concepts into production-ready implementations.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI applications in defense environments, experimenting with emerging technologies while contributing to scalable, mission-focused solutions.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Design and develop prototype features and proof-of-concept capabilities that integrate AI technologies into Trideum's product platforms.
  • Work closely with the Solutions Team and customer stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical prototypes and demonstrations.
  • Rapidly experiment with AI tools, frameworks, and APIs, including large language models and other emerging AI technologies.
  • Develop scripts, automation workflows, and data-processing pipelines that enable new AI-enabled functionality.
  • Prototype AI-assisted workflows, including natural language interfaces, automated data analysis, and decision-support tools.
  • Evaluate new technologies and frameworks to determine their applicability to mission requirements and product capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the development team to transition validated prototypes into production-ready features.
  • Support experimentation and development within secure or air-gapped environments as required by customer programs.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges and iterate quickly to refine prototype capabilities.
  • Document prototype architectures, technical approaches, and lessons learned to support knowledge sharing and future development.
  • Contribute to internal innovation efforts, demonstrations, and technical briefings when appropriate.


Requirements and Qualifications



  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience developing user-facing applications using Blazor, .NET technologies, or similar component-based web frameworks.
  • Minimum of 4 years of software development experience, including experience working with AI-enabled applications.
  • Experience developing software in Python or other modern programming languages.
  • Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and AI integration techniques, such as API-based model usage, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted workflows.
  • Experience building prototypes, proof-of-concept applications, or experimental software capabilities.
  • Ability to quickly evaluate and integrate new tools, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Experience working with Windows operating systems, with a willingness to learn and operate in Linux-based environments.
  • Familiarity with modern development practices, including version control, scripting, and automation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.


Desired Qualifications



  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field).
  • 5+ years of relevant software development experience.
  • Experience integrating AI services or large language models into software applications.
  • Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks, data pipelines, or retrieval-based AI architectures.
  • Experience working in secure, classified, or air-gapped development environments.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Department of Defense or government programs.
