Application Window Open date: March 16, 2026 Next review date: Tuesday, Mar 31, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Thursday, Sep 16, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description IGOT (Institute for Global Orthopaedics and Traumatology) Junior Research Specialist The IGOT - Institute for Global Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Global Research Initiative offers a 10- month to 1-year opportunity for third and fourth year medical students interested in orthopaedic surgery and global health. The specialist research position is designed to build upon fundamental skills and hands-on research experience critical to implementing orthopaedic research projects globally. The position will include the design and implementation of projects with our global partners and affiliates as well as a structured curriculum reviewing the various processes in conducting research. The position is embedded into IGOT's programs and includes specific responsibilities based on project needs and objectives. IGOT is based at the Orthopaedic Trauma Institute (OTI) at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, and travel is determined by the project or global partner need. Basic qualifications
